Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah seems to be working so hard that his apparent lack of sleep appears to be catching up with him at the worst possible moments: right in front of the cameras.

Television crews and photographers have on numerous occasions caught him sleeping during important discussions or public events, oblivious to the fact that the world can watch him.

But on Wednesday, he sort of created a world record (we are pretty sure) by getting caught sleeping at three events!

Siddaramaiah’s sleeping saga appears to have started in May 2013. Here are five places he was caught snoozing:

November 2014: It is a Hatrick! Siddaramaiah has set a very tough record for any one else who may unwittingly follow in his footsteps. He was caught snoozing in three different places on Wednesday, as he hopped from one event to another in Mysore.

He dozed off for a bit during the inauguration of the renovated Shikshakara Bhavan at Siddhartha Nagar, D Banumaiah's College and lastly, at the valedictory of platinum jubilee celebrations of Mandya district formation at Jaganmohan Palace, all in Mysore.

July 2014: This is the one that got him a lot of bad press, and made him a good target for the opposition’s firing squad.

Siddaramaiah was caught napping in the legislative assembly for three days in a row during the July session. In fact, he was reported to be fast asleep when members were discussing the rape of a six-year-old.

August 2014: There appears to be something relaxing about his home district of Mysore, that Siddaramaiah cant help himself.

He was visiting Bannuru village in the district to lay the foundation stone for a project. Well, apparently, it was quite a strenuous task and all that ‘hard work’ must have made him drowsy.

April 2013: It appears that even high decibel levels have no effect whatsoever on his sleep. He was found dozing off on stage at an event in Malleshwaram in state capital Bengaluru where he was the cynosure of all eyes.

May 2013: All the way up to Delhi: Maybe the UPA’s 9th annual report did not impress Siddaramaiah; he decided sleep was a better option.
