A helpline for overseas Indian workers!

An Overseas Workers' Resource Centre, a helpline for overseas Indian workers, was started off at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2008 at New Delhi on Tuesday. The helpline was opened by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh [Images].

The OWRC helpline has been envisioned as the first link in a comprehensive system of assistance and protection for Indians working abroad, in need of immediate care and intervention from the government.

The helpline provides information, dissemination on matters related to emigration. The helpline can also be used to register and monitor complaints. The OWRC is presently operational for 12 hours during the day in seven languages-Hindi, English, Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi, Kannada and Telegu.

How to access?

Call 1800 11 3090, toll free from India BSNL/MTNL [Get Quote] numbers or 911140503090 from mobile and landline anywhere in India. After calling register your complaint or query with operator. Follow up the case by calling on the same number.
