Art of Living Foundation spiritual head Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Wednesday said the contributions of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who passed away at his Dutch home on Tuesday night, to the world will be remembered forever.

According to a release issued by the Art of Living Foundation in Bhopal, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said, 'Maharshi was a great saint. He was highly skilled in managing world affairs and equally dispassionate at the same time.'

Recalling fondly the time spent with Maharishi in his early days, he said the spiritual leader laid the foundation for a new world based on the knowledge of Vedas and spirituality.
