The Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday flayed Dr Farooq Abdullah, who claimed that the media had distorted his son Omar Abdullah's comments on the Amarnath yatra [Images] issue.

"Where is the question of distorting a statement which is part of the Lok Sabha proceedings and was watched by millions of people all over the country," Prakash Javadekar, party spokesman, asked at a press conference in New Delhi [Images].

The BJP ridiculed Uma Bharti for bringing out a
fake CD, involving party General Secretary Sanjay Joshi.

"This is a fake CD as it was shot a day after the vote of confidence. She has now sent a clarification that she did not know what transpired. I have her statement," Javadekar said.
