Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam workers held demonstrations and burnt effigies of former BJP MP Ram Vilas Vedanti and senior BJP leader L K Advani across Tamil Nadu for the second day protesting the VHP leader's alleged fatwa against party leader and Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for his anti-Ram remarks.

Though Karunanidhi said there would be no more protests against the BJP, reports from various parts of the state said DMK workers continued their protest.

Besides Chennai, protests were held in Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem and Dindigul in the state and Puducherry. State Agriculture Minister Veerapandi Arumugam led a procession to the RSS office in Salem and raised slogans against the Sangh Parivar.
