Dalbir Kaur, sister of Sarabjit Singh who is on death row in Pakistan, has threatened to commit suicide in front of the prime minister's house in New Delhi if the government did not take steps to repatriate him within seven days.

She had decided to sit on a fast unto death and when it became difficult to survive and death was approaching, "I will go to Delhi and commit suicide in front of the house of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh," Kaur said in New Delhi on Thursday.

She has urged the President to send a special envoy to Pakistan to visit the Kotlakhpat Rai Jail and provide medical aid to Sarabjit who is in solitary confinement.

Kaur said she was fed up with the attitude of Centre and it seemed it was unwilling to save her brother from the gallows but she was still optimistic that the leadership of India and Pakistan would find a way out of the problem.
