A fresh petition was filed on Friday in a special CBI court challenging the investigative agency's decision to give a clean chit to Moninder Singh Pandher, an accused in the Nithari children killing case, for the murder of Rimpa Haldar.

Rimpa's father, Anil Haldar, through the petition, demanded that Pandher be booked under Sec 302 (murder), 376 (rape) and 212 of Indian Penal Code.

Additional District Judge (CBI) Rama Jain admitted the petition and directed the CBI to file its objection, if any, in writing.
