K S Padhi, deputy inspector general of Border Security Force appeared before the division bench of the State High Court hearing the sex scandal case where he was directed to surrender before the CBI.

Padhi later went to the Humhama camp of the CBI and turned himself over to the investigators.

The Srinagar chief judicial magistrate had on Monday issued non-bailable warrants against Padhi and former additional advocate general Anil Sethi both of whom are wanted by the CBI in connection with the investigation.

The CBI director himself appeared before the division bench of the High Court where he promised speedy and transparent investigation to the racket that has rocked the local society after the minor girl Yasmeena made shocking revelation of sexual abuse involving as many as 56 influential people including politicians, bureaucrats, police officers and businessmen.
