Three policemen and a civilian were injured in separate grenade explosions in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir [Images].

A sub-inspector and two other personnel were wounded when militants hurled a grenade on Sunday night at a patrol in Baramulla town, 55 km from Srinagar [Images], officials said on Monday.

A security patrol at Sopore bus stand in Baramulla was similarly attacked on Monday afternoon, causing injuries to a bystander.

A security vehicle at Main Chowk Pattan, 27 km from Srinagar, was also attacked with a grenade on Sunday night, but no one was hurt, the officials added.

No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the three attacks.

Massive security arrangements have been made and surveillance increased across the state ahead of Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday.

In Doda district on Monday, security forces foiled a plan to attack passing vehicles after they detected and defused a 5 kg explosive planted on a highway.
