The release of Indian and Pakistani prisoners has been delayed by a couple of hours because of completion of visa and other formalities, which are being carried out by the governments on both sides.

Relatives of the prisoners to be released have already reached the Wagah border to receive their near and dear ones.

The relatives of 54 Indian prisoners of war held during the 1971 war have also turned up in large numbers to demonstrate against the casual attitude of the Indian and Pakistani governments and to seek their release.

One person, Mohammed Dabar, who was released for Alwar jail, Rajashtan, on Sunday night is returning home after 15 years of detention.

Naseer Khan, 34, from Karachi is returning home after two-and-a-half years in Dangri jail in Rajouri.
