One policeman has been killed and three jawans injured in the ongoing exchange of fire between security forces and a militant holed-up in a house in Neelam Chowk area near the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar on Thursday.

Two suicide attackers made a foiled attempt on Wednesday to storm a security forces camp in the vicinity of the Civil Secretariat, which houses the office of the Jammu and Kashmir chief minister, his cabinet colleagues and top officers.

While one of the militants was shot dead by the security forces, the other was holed-up in a house.
