J&K shootout continues; 2 killed, 3 jawans wounded

One policeman has been killed and three jawans injured in the ongoing exchange of fire between security forces and a militant holed-up in a house in Neelam Chowk area near the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar [Images] on Thursday.

Two suicide attackers made a foiled attempt on Wednesday to storm a security forces camp in the vicinity of the Civil Secretariat, which houses the office of the Jammu and Kashmir [Images] chief minister, his cabinet colleagues and top officers.

While one of the militants was shot dead by the security forces, the other was holed-up in a house.
