LTTE launches TV channel

The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam has launched its own satellite TV channel, according to its official website Tamilnet.

The report further said that the channel, called the National Television of Thamil Eelam, will be beaming programmes to European nations from an undisclosed location in Sri Lanka's [Images] northeast.

The channel went on air on March 26, Tamilnet quoted a TV channel official as saying.

The programme will not be available to Asian audiences for now.
