Modi visa: 'Swabhiman' rally on Sunday

Bharatiya Janata Pary president Lal Kishenchand Advani will participate in a 'Swabhiman' rally in Ahmedabad on Sunday to protest against the US decision to deny a visa to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi [Images], party sources said.

The rally, to be organised by the state unit of the BJP, will be held at the Kankaria football ground.

National Democratic Alliance partners are also expected to attend, Gujarat BJP president Rajendrasinh Rana said.

BJP activists from all over the state will take part in the rally, he added.

Security has been tightened around the United States Visa Centre in Ahmedabad.
