Five people were killed and 15 injured when a private bus plunged into a gorge near Mungal in Himachal Pradesh's [Images] Kangra  district on Saturday.

Four people died on the spot and one on the way to hospital.

The injured, six of whom were critical, have been taken to a hospital at Chadiar and the Dr Rajindera Prasad Government Medical College Hospital in Dharmsala, the police said.

The bus with about 30 passengers was going from Jaisingpur to Chadiyar.
