Two injured in train derailment

Two persons, including a woman, were injured on Monday evening when a coach of the Jogindernagar- Pathankot metre gauge train derailed near Paprola, 13 km from Palampur, Himachal Pradesh.

The train had just left Paprola station at 1605 hrs when a tree fell on one of its coaches and derailed it.

Traffic on the Pathankot-Joginder Nagar section was suspended for some time and a relief train sent from Pathankot to clear the track.

The injured were rushed to hospital, sources said.

There were very only a few passengers in the train when the mishap occurred.
