Natwar Singh holds talks with Musharraf

External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh on Wednesday held talks with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf [Images] and reviewed the progress on the ongoing Composite Dialogue process.

Singh, who arrived in Islamabad [Images] on Tuesday evening on a three-day visit met Musharraf before meeting Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Foreign Minister Khurshid M Kasuri.

The Composite Dialogue that covers the vexed Jammu and Kashmir [Images] issue would be the focus Singh's talks with all the Pakistani leaders, official sources said. Other issues like starting the bus services between Srinagar-Muzafarabad, Lahore [Images] and Amritsar [Images] are expected to figure in Singh's talks.

India is awaiting a response from Pakistan to a number of its proposals, many of which are aimed at bolstering people-to-people contacts. These include holding visa camps by the respective High Commissions in different cities and an agreement on peace and tranquility along the Line of Control [Images].
