A girl in her early twenties was abducted by four men from the posh Salt Lake area of Kolkata on Friday morning.
Rama Jhawar (21) is the daughter of a businessman and studies at the G D Birla College.
She was in a car with a friend and her nephew when a Maruti [Get Quote] van intercepted the vehicle, IGP Law and Order Chayan Mukherjee said. Four men emerged from the van, dragged Rama out of the car and fled with her.
No ransom call has yet been received by the family.
