One person who got a permit to travel by the inaugural Srinagar [Images]-Muzaffarabad bus, but had dropped out citing personal reasons, has gone missing since Monday, his relatives said in Srinagar on Wednesday.

Haji Ghulam [Images] Ahmad Wani, a resident of Bagh-e-Mehtab on the city outskirts, had cited health reasons for his decision.

He was asked to accompany police officials to sign an undertaking on Monday and has not returned since, his son said.

Efforts to trace him have gone in vain, as the police said they did not know where he was.

"We have filed an appeal in the court," he added.

Senior police officials repeated their ignorance about the whereabouts of Wani. They said they would look into the matter.
