POTA court gives Raja Bhaiya bail

A designated POTA court on Monday ordered the release of three detenues, including MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, from judicial custody.

Judge Shailendra Saxena said the accused shall be released on furnishing a personal bond of Rs 50,000 each with two securities each of like amount.

Both Raja Bhaiya and his cousin, Uday Pratap Singh, were present in the court.

Raja Bhaiya, an MLA from the Kunda assembly constituency in Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh, had moved the bail application on March 5 last year.

He was arrested on November 2, 2002 under the Gangster Act.
