Lalu to meet slain engineer's family in Srinagar June 26, 2004 13:32 IST Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav will visit Srinagar on Saturday to meet the bereaved family of senior railway engineer Sudhir Kumar Pundir, who was abducted and killed by suspected Lashkar-e-Tayiba militants.
Lalu is also scheduled to meet security and civil officials to gather more details about the double-murder. Pundir, an Indian Railway Construction engineer, was overseeing the work on an ambitious railway project aimed at connecting the Kashmir valley with Jammu.
