Wondering where rains disappeared?

Wondering where the South West monsoon's disappeared? The weather department says there is again a lull, but rainfall activity may increase in the north-west India, including Delhi, around July 14, though only for a short period.
The rainfall between June 1 and July 7 has been 10 per cent less than the normal. The department predicted "100 per cent normal rains" in the entire monsoon season (June-September).
The weather department, however, remains optimistic. "The 100 per cent normal rain forecast is for the entire monsoon season...it is just July," Director, Indian Meteorological Department, D P Yadav said.
There is still time to make up, he said and added that the global features are not showing any deviation from the normal rainfall forecast.
Stating that weak monsoon conditions are prevailing over the north-west India, Central India and parts of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, he said the monsoon trough has shifted close to the foothills of Himalayas.
Weak monsoon conditions are likely to continue over these areas for the next 48 hours, he said.
