Notices to Centre and CBI in Jogi bribery case

The Chhattisgarh high court on Friday issued notices to the Centre, Central Bureau of Investigation and the state government among others on a petition of former chief minister Ajit Jogi regarding the alleged Rs 4.5 million bribery case against him.

Justice L C Bhadu issued notices to the secretary, Union Home Ministry, director CBI, CBI superintendent of police, Raipur, Chhattisgarh home secretary and superintendent of police of Chhattisgarh Anti-corruption Bureau, Raipur.

Jogi has urged the court to quash the FIR lodged against him in the matter by BJP leader Virendra Pande and the notices would be returnable in two weeks, Jogi's advocates said.
