First list of dead, hurt passengers released May 15, 2003 19:35 IST The Northern Railway on Thursday released the first list of dead and injured persons in the Frontier Mail tragedy. Six of the 38 passengers who died are: Sister Alphonsa (Marimatha Ayurvedic Hospital, Goonithura, Ernakulam); Betty, Johnny and Tony (all from Don Bosco Polytechnic, Okhla, Delhi); Surinder Singh (Captain Tyres, S P Mukherjee Marg, Tilak Bazar, Delhi) and Vinayak Ganapati. The bodies of Surinder Singh and Vinayak Ganapati are being brought to New Delhi by the Shane-e-Punjab Express. Following 14 have received injuries: Sangeeta, Ravinder and Satpal (all from Meerut); Vikram and Ashok Bhatia, D S R Murti, D S Shastri, Uday, Padmawati and D V Sharma (all from Kalya Puri, Hyderabad), Ajit Kumar (Hyderabad), Anil Kumar and Nishita (BSF/JRC) and Tasneem.
