Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani on Tuesday said the Jammu and Kashmir government would provide all facilities to Kashmiri Pandits if they wanted to leave the valley, but cautioned such a move would amount to playing into the hands of enemies of the country.

Advani on Tuesday visited Nadimarg village in south Kashmir for an on-the-spot assessment following the massacre of 24 Pandits on Sunday night.

He expressed the hope that Kashmiri Pandits would take a right decision.

All those who prefer to stay back would be provided adequate security, Advani said.

Earlier, speaking to reporters while on his way to J&K, Advani said the Nadimarg incident had left 'serious wounds on the entire Kashmiri community that has migrated to safer place in Jammu and Delhi'.

Terming the massacre as 'cold-blooded murder', Advani said 'this is an act of our neighbour and violence in the state is continuing only because of them'.

He declined to say whether Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's 'healing touch' policy had hampered anti-militancy operations in the state.

"When the new government in the state took over, I had conveyed to the chief minister that while development is the main concern of the state, the security aspect would be looked after by the Centre," he said.

Advani was accompanied by Governor Girish Chander Saxena, National Conference president Omar Abdullah, Intelligence Bureau Director K P Singh and senior civil and police officials.
