Mufti says militants deserve no mercy

March 24, 2003 12:00 IST

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on Monday condemned the massacre of 24 Kashmiri Pandits in Nadimarg village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir on Sunday night.

"This is [an] unpardonable crime by militants to derail the peace process initiated in Jammu and Kashmir by the coalition government," Sayeed said.

The chief minister said he has asked the security forces to launch a massive manhunt and bring the killers to the book. "These gun-weilding militants deserve no mercy," he added.
