At least 802 matric examinees were expelled at different centers in Bihar during the last four days for using unfair means in the matriculation examination, sources in the Bihar School Examination Board said.
About half a million students are appearing in the matric examination, which began last week.
Officials said the cases relating to the expelled examinees have been referred to the three-member unfair means committee of the board, which will examine the answer sheets of the expelled examinees and then take a decision.
Meanwhile, more than 350 persons, including guardians, were arrested for helping examinees to cheat in the examination during the last three days.
The board has received complaints from schools located in Jehanabad, Arwal, Nawada, Bhojpur, Sheohar, Vaishali and Muzaffarpur districts.
Two flying squads of the board, during surprise inspection of the examination centres located in Patna, Barh, Mahnar, Hajipur and Sitamarhi, expelled a large number of examinees for cheating.
Earlier, the board had debarred as many as 900 examinees from appearing in the matriculation examination for not attending the test examination.
