Raja Bhaiya-run institutions taken over

February 06, 2003 20:11 IST

In an action targeting jailed independent MLA Raja Bhaiya and his father Uaday Pratap Singh, the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday took over the control of all educational institutions run by their family.

The management of the institutions by Raja Bhaiya and his family members has been suspended and a receiver has been appointed to run them, an official spokesman in Pratapgarh said.

Kunda sub-divisional magistrate has been appointed receiver of Hindu Inter College at Pratapgarh and three Kunda based schools--Bajrang Intermediate College, TP Inter College and Bhadeshwar Inter College, he said.
