Abducted man rescued from former Bihar minister's house

Police have rescued a person, held captive since December 15 with a ransom demand of Rs 250,000, from the house of a former Bihar minister in Patna.

On a tip-off, police raided Sonadhari Singh's house and rescued Dinbandhu Prasad Yadav, a resident of Dumaraon in Buxar district, on Sunday evening.

A case of abduction and wrongful confinement has been filed against Singh who is yet to be traced, officer in-charge of S K Puri police station, K K Singh, said.

Raids are being conducted in various places to arrest Singh and others involved in the incident.
