As excitement builds up around the new season of Bigg Boss, we bring you a sneak peek into the interiors and many features of the famed house.

The house is built in Karjat, 90 km from Mumbai at ND Studio. The 9000 sq ft property comes with great surprises this season. The outer area ringed by cameras is around 5,500 sq ft. There are 55 cameras and 60 microphones installed on the property.

The house looks very compact, leaving barely enough space for the housemates to spend time by themselves. But after last year's drama involving a single bedroom for the house's 14 housemates, this season the house has two separate bedrooms.

Aritra Mukherjee, editor-in-chief of Bigg Boss (Endemol) says, "In fact, the house is bigger this season because there are three bedrooms.

The bedrooms are unisex this season too.  We have never forced contestants to sleep separately. If they wish to do so it is entirely their choice."
 

One thing is sure as you look at the house: tolerance levels will be tested and arguments will erupt!

An addition to the house is the Zorb, a transparent orb like enclosure in the garden area specially created for the Head-of-House where entry is 'by invitation only'.

Now the Head-of-House can spend quality time with his/her confidantes and plot some much-expected manipulation.

The design of the house is transparent, that is, one can view the entire expanse of the house from the entrance -- bedrooms, outdoor and living sections.

It is also moulded into different shapes and sizes and gives a bubble gum effect. Adding to the bubble effect is a pink open kitchen in the left corner of the living room.

There is a dining area next to the kitchen that extends to the garden.

"Bigg Boss always had an integrated dining area but this time there is a separate dining area," says Mukherjee.

The outdoor area has gained more prominence with a pool and gymnasium.

Designer Shayam Bhatia has designed the house. With over 55 cameras following their every move 24x7, the 14 housemates will barely be out of Big Boss's sight.
