Venkatesh to play Mohanlal's role in Telugu remake of Drishyam
Get your lowdown on what's happening in Telugu cinema.
After Bodyguard and Masala (remake of Bol Bachchan) Venaktesh has chosen to work in the reamke of Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam. The untitled Telugu remake will be produced by Suresh Babu and Rajkumar Theatres and directed by Sripriya (who re-made 22 Female Kottayam as Malini 22 in Tamil and Telugu).
Drishyam brought Mohanlal to the forefront after a lean patch. The superstar shone in this film with a superb performance. Will it do the same for Venkatesh?
Minugurulu, a film by Ayodhya Kumar dealing with the theme of visual impairment. He shot the film with children who were actually suffering from visual impairment.
The team of Minugurulu recently organised a walk and later a screening of the film attended by Shriya Saran. The actress interacted with the visually impaired children present and also launched the Minugurulu web portal.
Shriya has been associated with the visually impaired since she was a student in Delhi. The actress who owns a spa in Mumbai, has six visually impaired massage therapists! Kudos to Ayodhya Kumar for making a film on such a sensitive subject.
