Venkatesh to play Mohanlal's role in Telugu remake of Drishyam

After Bodyguard and Masala (remake of Bol Bachchan) Venaktesh has chosen to work in the reamke of Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam. The untitled Telugu remake will be produced by Suresh Babu and Rajkumar Theatres and directed by Sripriya (who re-made 22 Female Kottayam as Malini 22 in Tamil and Telugu).

Drishyam brought Mohanlal to the forefront after a lean patch. The superstar shone in this film with a superb performance. Will it do the same for Venkatesh?

Minugurulu, a film by Ayodhya Kumar dealing with the theme of visual impairment. He shot the film with children who were actually suffering from visual impairment.

The team of Minugurulu recently organised a walk and later a screening of the film attended by Shriya Saran. The actress interacted with the visually impaired children present and also launched the Minugurulu web portal.

Shriya has been associated with the visually impaired since she was a student in Delhi. The actress who owns a  spa in Mumbai, has six visually impaired massage therapists! Kudos to Ayodhya Kumar for making a film on such a sensitive subject.

Suman in Akshay Kumar starrer Gabbar

Suman is a well known face in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. A hero in the ’80s, he later played character roles, and now he is often seen as the antagonist. In Sivaji he played the villain opposite superstar Rajnikanth.

Suman is all set to enter the Hindi film industry with Gabbar starring Akshay Kumar and Shruthi Haasan. In Gabbar (a remake of the Tamil film Ramana) Suman plays the villain. The film is directed by Telugu director Krish Jagarlamudi.
