Stars tweeted their tributes for noted fashion photographer Prabuddha Dasgupta, who passed away on August 12. He was 58.

Lara Dutta tweeted: 'I hear from twitter that Prabuddho Dasgupta has passed away!:-( . He shot me 4 the Femina cover rght after I won Miss India. It was every...Womans dream to be shot by Prabuddho! No one captured a woman like him. May his soul rest in peace. :-('

Model Padma Lakshmi tweeted: 'RIP Prabuddha Dasgupta. Huge loss. Lucky to work with such a master, artist & friend. So sad for Lakshmi & his girls.'

Arjun Rampal wrote: 'Devastated, Prabhudo Dasgupta, a genius and dear friend is no more, he has gone way before his time. My prayers & strength for his family. RIP.'

Shekhar Kapur ‏tweeted: 'Yesterday i passed brilliant photographer #PrabhudaDasgupta studio in Bengaluru promising 2 drop by next time.Today he passed away.'

Actress-model Lisa Ray ‏also tweeted her tribute: 'Shocked at the news of Prabuddha Das Gupta's passing. A true artist, original and friend. Saddened. My heart is with Lakshmi and his girls.'

Farhan Akhtar wrote: 'One of the finest photographers and a dear friend, Prabhuda, passed away. RIP. This has been a dark week.'

Dia Mirza wrote: 'Prabudha Das Gupta...the wonder you created will live on but I will miss looking at you and then the 'self' that only you could capture. RIP.'

Preity Zinta's all praises for Salman

Preity Zinta, who is all set to make a comeback with her home production Ishkq In Paris, praised Salman Khan for helping with the project.

According to her, Salman was the only actor who was approached for the role. 'No other Hero in the industry was approached 4#IIP except Salman Khan & He's not only in it but he's helped me So much by always being there,' she tweeted.

She also shared trivia from the film and added: 'Trivia... 1st person 2 see the film Promo was Salman. I didn't want to show it to him in front of the media so we saw it at home alone.'

India finished with a medal haul of six at the London Olympics, doubling the Beijing Olympics tally of three. Film personalities lavished praises on Indian sportspersons.

Boman Irani tweeted: 'The London Olympics were the BEST Olympics ever! Many experts may not be in agreement, but as an Indian........these were the best!!!!!'

Fardeen Khan was present at the closing ceremony with wife Natasha. He shared a picture of them together (above) and tweeted: 'it's an unreal experience.'

Soha Ali Khan tweeted: 's kumar s silver and all other medals should be celebrated, esp. given our poor record and the facilities available to our sportspersons.'
