Shahid Kapoor completes a decade in Bollywood

Actor Shahid Kapoor, who debuted in Bollywood with 2003 film Ishq Vishk, has completed a decade in the industry.

Thanking his fans, the actor tweeted tweeted: '10 yrs ..... Thank u all for all the love ......'

Producer Kumar Taurani wrote: 'Friends, Ishq Vishq completes 10yrs, Many congratulations to all of us.'

The film also marked the debut of actor Vishal Malhotra. He tweeted: 'Good Morning. 10 years ago today my first film ISHQ VISHK released. Mambo says ... Thank you :) One of the most beautiful thing sme one told me,with Disney, Hip Hip Hurray and Ishq Vishk u hv been an integral part of my adolescence WOW.'

Directed by Ken Ghosh, the film also starred Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala.


'Sanaullah's death is as sad & tragic as that of Sarabjit'

Bollywood stars condemned the death of Pakistani prisoner Sanauallah Ranjay who was injured in a scuffle with another inmate in the high-security Kot Balwal jail in Jammu. Here's what they said:

Shabana Azmi: 'An eye for an eye will turn the whole world blind - Mahatma Gandhi. We mourn Sarabjit and Sanaullah with deep sadness at the loss of humanity.'

Anupam Kher: 'As d Citizen of a Country we do take sides & rightfully so. But on a Human Level Sanaullah death is as sad & tragic as that of Sarabjit. RIP'

Asha Bhosle to perform at Lalla Rookh Festival

Veteran singer Asha Bhosle is busy getting ready for a special performance in The Hague, capital city of the province of South Holland, on May 9. The 79-year-old singer will be performing some of her greatest hits with arrangements by the Metropole Orchestra in an ode to traditional music.

She shared a picture of her from the rehearsals and tweeted: 'Rehearsing for tomorrow nights Concert at The Hague with the Dutch Metropole Orchestra. Wonderful musicians. Great sound.' 

The concert will kick off the Lalla Rookh Festival, celebrating 140 years of Hindustani migration in the Netherlands. The festival also symbolizes the India-Suriname-Netherlands triangle.
