Salman Khan: Help me free Sarabjit Singh!

Salman Khan has come out in support of Sarabjit Singh, the Indian who is on death row in Pakistan.

The actor has urged the people of Pakistan to help him to free Sarabjit Singh.

'Requesting the people of pakistan to support me to help free surabjeet who has been in prison since 30 yrs . Please . Allah ka vasta. Request the to the awam of pakistan, member"s of the press, govt of pakistan, president zardari, a humble request,' he tweeted.

Hours after reports emerged on Tuesday that Pakistan was to free Sarabjit, Presidential spokesman Faratullah Babar said it wasn't Sarabjit but another Indian prisoner Surjeet Singh, who has been in jail for three decades.

But Salman, who saw a picture of Sarabjit's sister, is sad to see his family in despair. 'It would be the most amazing gesture, to send surabjeet back to his family after 30 years. Hope u support me like its your own cause. Wanted to tweet this for the longest time , saw a pic of surabjeets sister, it Killed me. Felt real sad for her. Help me help her,' he added.

Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently shooting for Yash Chopra's yet-untitled film in London, is about to complete the schedule. The actor says that the end of a shoot makes him feel empty.
