Ram Gopal Varma has a new muse in his life, the very sexy Madhu Shalini. The actress will be launched in his forthcoming film Department.
She joins the list of the filmmaker's previous muses, Urmila Matondkar, Nisha Kothari, Antara Mali and Jiah Khan.

There are rumours that RGV met Madhu through Puri Jagannath, the director of Bbuddha Hoga Tera Baap, when he was shooting for the film.

Ramu, who has been making low budget movies of late, is reportedly spending Rs 1 crore just for a song called Thodi Si. It will be picturised on Madhu, and shot in Mehboob Studios, in Bandra, a western suburb of Mumbai.
The budget for the entire film, Not A Love Story -- his last release -- was Rs 80 lakh!
When contacted, RGV claims that he's not even good friends with Madhu. Yet, the filmmaker is following her on a social networking site.

So just who is Madhu Shalini?
She's an actress, who works in Telugu and Tamil cinema. film actress and model. She has also hosted television shows for a while.
Born and brought up in Hyderabad, her father is a businessman and her mother is a lawyer.

Madhu is a trained Kuchipudi dancer. She won a beauty contest, which kicked off her modelling and television career.
She started her movie career with a special appearance in a Telugu film called Andarivaadu. Her first film as a lead actress was Naa Pranam Kante Ekkuva (2005). It bombed at the box office.
Her first major hit in Telugu was Kithakithalu, which released the next year.

Madhu made her Tamil film debut with a low-budget film called Pazhaniappa Kalloori, which vanished without a trace.
