Widely known as the British Oscars, the 2013 British Academy of Film and Television Awards honoured the finest works of the year in a glitzy and somewhat rain-soaked ceremony at The Royal Opera House on February 10 in London, England.

While Ben Affleck's widely-acclaimed espionage thriller Argo won the top awards, this year marked the first ever BAFTA win for a James Bond movie in 50 years as Daniel Craig and Javier Bardem starrer Skyfall won the Outstanding British film award.

Zero Dark Thirty actress Jessica Chastain, Best Actress nominee for her role as the young CIA officer Maya in the film, was a headturner in her electric blue gown.

While actress Juno Temple won the Rising Star award, Tessa Ross was felicitated with the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema nod.

Here's a look at the highlights from the awards show!
