Aamir Khan travelled to Jammu & Kashmir on February 9 to shoot an ad campaign for Incredible India -- a Government of India initiative to boost tourism.
Aamir, who's also done some television commercials as the brand ambassador of the initiative, shot for the new ad in the Suraf Rao village of north Kashmir, Ganderbal district, immediately after his arrival.
The actor did a recce for his upcoming film too, if rumours are to be believed.

"Kashmir is breathtakingly beautiful. The people are nice and hospitable. The weather is cold but not that cold. I hope Bollywood returns to Kashmir like the good old days for shooting," Aamir said.

Aamir also enjoyed the famous shikara ride on Dal lake, and checked out the floating vegetable garden.

Talking to reporters, he said, "I have come to Kashmir after 10 years. My last visit was in 1999 when we shot our film Mann here."

Although Aamir did not divulge that he was in the city in connection with location recce for his new film, sources said Aamir's visit to Dal Lake and a local public school indicated that the superstar was planning his next movie shoot in Kashmir.
