Smriti Irani has been subjected to relentless ridicule and criticism (mostly because of her showbiz background) ever since she embarked on a political career.

However, one would think it'd all stop once she was handed over a key portfolio in the newly elected Narendra Modi government. Unfortunately for the former actress, that hasn't been the case.

Barely hours had passed since her appointment as the new human resource development minister, when her detractors (read Congress leader Ajay Maken and academician Madhu Kishwar) took to Twitter to question her credentials for the job.

So what must it feel like to be Smriti Irani these days?  We try to find out.

Smriti Irani's happiness knew no bounds when she was given the HRD portfolio in Narendra Modi's newly elected government.

Then she logged in her Twitter account and read Madhu Kishwar and Congress leader Ajay Maken's scathing response to her appointment.

Obviously, no sunshine on this mind.

Oh.

So when Narendrabhai told us that we will sweep Lok Sabha elections this year, I wasn't supposed to do this?

My bad.

This whole being-a-Cabinet-minister thing is going to be a cakewalk for me because this is the collective IQ of the people I will be surrounded with in the Parliament.

And oh.

Surviving Ekta Kapoor kinda makes one invincible too.
