Fasting competitions next? Stars ask Anna Hazare

While social activist Anna Hazare has challenged terrorist groups to "come out in the open and fight" instead of targeting innocent, Ram Gopal Varma wants him to fast against them.

'I wish Anna will fast against terrorist groups to stop them from killing innocent people?' he tweeted.

Director Shirish Kunder voiced a similar opinion. 'Anna has challenged the terrorists -- Come in the open and fight. What next? Fasting competition?' he wrote.

How they're coping with Delhi's double disaster

Double tragedy rocked New Delhi yesterday as a bomb blast occured in the morning and an earthquake at night. Bollywood stars tweeted about their friends' and families' experiences.

Gul Panag's friends managed to escape the blast. 'Two dear friends had a very narrow escape this morning at Delhi High Court. Both shaken and numb. Sadly, some weren't so lucky:(' she tweeted.

Sandhya Mridul's brother was in court when it happened. 'My brother was in court when it happened felt fear when I heard the news of the blast..my heart aches for those who lost loved ones.. I'm happy my brother is safe but the pain persists..THIS HAS TO STOP!' she wrote.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan's daughter Shweta who lives in Delhi is also safe. 'The blast in Delhi in the morning and just now a 6.6 earthquake in Delhi ..just spoke to my daughter, it was horrifying, but all safe. The Delhi earthquakes are scary.. the earth rumbles underneath with a horrifying sound, like 500 jumbos taking of ..have been in one,' he updated.

Tisca Chopra's husband, who is in Delhi, is safe too. 'It is 4.2, happy to be wrong for once..my husband's in Delhi & just told me how his hotel just shuddered & shook,' she tweeted.

Ra.One readies for release

Ra.One has reached its final stage of post-production and almost ready for release. Shah Rukh Khan, who has been working hard on the film, updated on his Twitter account.

'As the morning threatens to break again..final lock on film has been sent to various depths. heard a sigh of relief across the city..aaah! so tired can't even hit the bed...cant hit anything. i feel a farishta (angel) watches over my source of energy & resilience. thanx Allah,' he tweeted.

Chammak Challo is quite the charmer!

Karan Johar thinks Chammak Challo is the song of the year. 'CHAMAK CHALLO is undoubtedly the song of 2011!!! Vishal shekhar and akon ruling the air waves!!! SRK and BEBO all the way!!!' he tweeted.

Vikram Bhatt loves it too. 'Chammak Challo from Ra One totally rocks it!!! Lurrvvve the song!' he wrote.

Designer Manish Malhotra is happy with the response he's getting for Kareena's look in the video. 'Super response to kareena s look in bodyguard and chamak challo song in ra one : :-)' he updated.

Mummy-to-be Lara Dutta is in New York cheering hubby Mahesh Bhupathi, who is competing at the US open.

'Been rained out folks! Its long hours of waiting to know if Hesh and Lee will be able to get to play their match if the rain holds off a bit,' she updated.

Shahid Kapoor is used to being busy and is looking forward to Mausam's release next week. Stars condemn Delhi blast

The film industry condemned the Delhi blasts and lashed out at the government with their tweets.

Raveena Tandon tweeted: 'Like Nero fiddled While Rome Burnt!!when will India stopped being scared and Timid ,with a passive sleeping Government. Can't help venting Frustration aftr reading and seeing horror in delhi..and all victims get is repeated condolence messages and VVIP visits'

Shekhar Kapur is a disgruntled citizen. 'For 64 years Indian political system has survived on tolerance of her People. But her streets r burning with cries of ENOUGH !' he wrote.

Karan Johar tweeted: 'Words seem so irrelevant in the face of tragedy...and that's all the governance ever has to offer...words.'

Pooja Bedi tweeted: 'Why do we keep inhuman terrorists in jail for years,spend crores on their security &maintenance?so that terror outfits can attack & bargain? There has to be swift trial & immediate death penalty sentencing for all terrorists that have taken innocent lives! ZERO tolerance 4 terror!'

Shabana Azmi wants that the guilty be punished. 'How long will the country bleed? What solace can we possibly offer those who've lost their dear ones? GUILTY MUST BE PUNISHED' she wrote.
