Not many know that Kamal started acting at the age of four, in the film Kalathur Kannamma. In the past 53 years, he has donned many avatars on the silver screen many times, and continues to do it.

Kamal Haasan has acted in six films as a child, and then took a break for seven years to learn the art form thoroughly. His first lead role was in the Malayalam film Kanyakumari.

But it was the Tamil film Apoorva Raagangal where he got his big break.
