Karan Johar to recreate Kuch Kuch Hota Hain magic?

Karan Johar unveiled the first look of his new film, Student Of The Year, and asked for feedback.

Johar will be directing the film, and it will be a joint venture with best pal Shah Rukh Khan. The film will star David Dhawan's son Varun and Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Aliya.

Jaya Bachchan meets the President

Like most of Bollywood, the President of India Pratibha Patil decided to party too. Amitabh Bachchan tweeted about the President, who was holidaying in Goa.

He tweeted: 'A fulfilling day ! Full of fun .. full of grandchildren .. full of jet ski .. full of sea water ... and full of love for them .. He had said he was a pro ... well almost .. with a bit of help. The lady was better on the 'slopes'.

'Media and crowd hurried us back. The young man gets shy of crowds ... was loving the water .. till !!?? So had to return. The President came over for a visit to Hotel.'

He explained, 'That is the President of India on holiday .. had lunch out in the lawn in front of our room .. Jaya met up .. I was out in the wilds.'

Lata Mangeshkar remembers Panchamda

Lata Mangeshkar tweeted about R D Burman on his death anniversary yesterday.

She wrote, 'Namaskar. Aaj Pancham, matlab RD Burman, inki punyatithi hai. Aaj Pancham ki bahut yaad aa rahi hai. Pancham ek bemisaal music director tha.'

Celina gets engaged

Mallika Sherawat has left Hisss far behind and moved on to her next film, and is looking forward to her next -- Love Barack -- in 2011.

To a tweet by her fellow actor Brian White, she replied, 'it's LOVE, BARACK again they say!'

Celina Jaitley, who recently announced her engagement to Dubai-based hotelier Peter Haag, thanked everyone for the wishes: 'THANK U for ur wishes'

Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha decided to infuse 'knowledge' to her fans. 'Dupatta is also called "Lajja-Vastra" in hindi... Lajja-Vastra!!! hehehehe... the things that can crack me up,' she tweeted.

Deepika Padukone and Uday Chopra, who share a birthday today, are busy celebrating in their own way -- Dips is apparently in New England with Siddharth Mallya whereas Chopra is shooting for Karan Johar's Koochie Koochie Hota Hai. So their friends decided to wish them on twitter.

Sonam Kapoor was among the first to wish them: 'Happy birthday!! @udaychopra' she wrote. 'Happy birthday @deepikapadukone... Hope ur having a fun holiday!!'

Priyanka Chopra took the time off to wish her Pyaar Impossible co-star Uday Chopra: 'Here is wishing 1of my fav people @udaychopra a super happy birthday. I wish u love and happiness ud.cause u know how to give so much of it.'

Uday Chopra tweeted back to Sonam, 'yay!!! Sonam wished me...now my birthday is complete...thanks a lot Sonam...lots of love!!!'
