Director Suri and actor Puneet Rajkumar are getting back together to entertain their fans.
After doling out a commercial hit like Jackie, the two are back in the Kannada film Anna Bond.
Going by the promos that were released after the launch of the film, Anna Bond promises to be an action packed movie.
Having worked with Puneet and understood the pulse of his audience, Suri has accorded sufficient space for the actor's kick-ass action and dance moves.
Try probing Suri about the plot and the guarded reply is that "it is about a boy who has the ability to do everything. He is a local hero. What we are trying to say is, power is not something that is limited to police or similar authorities. We are trying to show how commoners may also use power when bestowed with it."
Does the film take its inspiration from the Bond movies given that the background score includes the famous theme from the Bond movies? "No, I wish to clarify that the film has nothing to do with Bond films. Our film comes with a very local flavour. It will ride high on style all the same," says Suri.
Priyamani plays Puneet's love interest -- the two had co-starred in Raam earlier. Priyamani was chosen after Suri watched her performance in the Tamil film Paruthiveeran.
"In Anna Bond, there are a lot of comical situations between Puneet and me. I am looking forward to shooting them. More then anything, I am glad that I am getting to match steps with him again," says Priya.
Nidhi Subbaiah is also part of the cast. She plays Priyamani's friend.
"It's a dream come true to be working in a Suri-Puneet combination film," says Nidhi, who plays a tomboyish photographer, a stark contrast to Priya's character in the film. Harikrishna is composing the music and Satya Hegde is the cameraman.
The film is produced by Vajreshwari combines. "Puneet and I want to entertain people from the first reel to the last," says Suri.
Shooting is expected to go on for nearly 100 days. Anna Bond will release in April.
