What happens when sparks fly on a film set, away from the prying eyes of cameras? Take a look!

They may rescue the world in a jiffy or control the universe on the tip of their finger in the movies but not even the greatest celebrity has the power to resist that 'crazy little thing called love' in real life.

And like most unpredictable things, it can happen anytime.

Even while making a movie. Like it did to one of Hollywood's sweetest real-life couples -- Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.

The dishy duo met on the sets of The Amazing Spider Man and, bam, sparks just flew.

Before they knew it, the love bug (er spider) had bitten them for good.

With the much-anticipated sequel hitting the marquee, Stone added to the excitement with her awww-inducing 'I love him very much' declaration on television.

Here's looking at some other high-profile jodis that grew closer while making a movie.

Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai, Umrao Jaan

Technically, Bollywood royalty Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai first met in Switzerland.

She was shooting for her first Hindi film, ...Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. He was conducting recce for home production, Major Saab.

Though they shared a warm camaraderie through films like Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke and Kuch Naa Kaho, both were committed elsewhere (Karisma Kapoor, Salman Khan) and love didn't blossom until they began shooting for J P Dutta's grand remake of Muzaffar Ali's Umrao Jaan.

Without further ado, the duo announced their engagement in January 2007 and got married four months later in a strictly private ceremony at the Bachchan bungalow.

Today, they're doting parents of the two-year old Aaradhya.

Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor worked first on the star-studded flop, LoC Kargil but became inseparable only while filming Yash Raj's quirky potboiler, Tashan.

Initially, Bebo raised a few eyebrows for dumping her longtime boyfriend Shahid Kapoor but the refreshing openness with which she addressed her new romance earned her more admirers than detractors.

Dubbed Saifeena by the media, the gushing sweethearts finally settled in matrimony after a long courtship in October 2012.

Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie

Speaking of Saifeena, can the original celeb couple stay behind?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, or Brangelina as they are constantly referred to by the hounding Hollywood paparazzi, hit it off on the sets of Mr and Mrs Smith while the Se7en superstar was already married to Friends actor Jennifer Aniston.

Their gorgeous union attracted a lot of flak in this dramatic man, wife and other woman scenario but they vehemently denied dating each other till he got divorced.

Eventually, the engaged-to-marry power couple, jointly raising three adopted and three biological children, admit to being in love all that time.

Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif

There's no official statement about their together status yet.

But from leaked pictures of their sexy Ibiza holiday to Kareena Kapoor's incessant ribbing on Koffee With Karan, there's enough evidence floating around the web space to confirm Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's relationship status.

And like all previous couples in this story before them, they too discovered they’re made for each other while shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi's breezy rom-com, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.

Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone

Close proximity with co-stars leads to instant attraction and explosive chemistry on screen.

That sexual comfort is much too obvious between Ranveer Singh and alleged girlfriend Deepika Padukone's chemistry as they engage in uninhibited passion for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's over-the-top take on Romeo and Juliet.

Another developed-on-the-sets-love story, will this one endure the test of time and stress?

Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart

This one did not.

But, boy, did it consume gallons and gallons of ink before Hollywood's teen heartthrobs declared it splitsville?

Nobody likes anything better than a good-looking screen couple who has the hots for one another in reality too.

And Twilight sensations Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart with their easygoing disposition found the perfect anchor in another as they watched their collective career go from obscure to obscenely talked about while making the millions-minting franchise about vampire love.

Too bad K-Stew succumbed to a brief fling with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders and publicly humiliated a heartbroken R-Pattz.

They briefly reconciled but the damage was done.

Dev Patel-Freida Pinto

Apart from getting their big career break in Danny Boyle's Oscar-sweeping Slumdog Millionaire, which turned Mumbai's Frieda Pinto and London's Dev Patel into household names, it also gave them each other.

Despite a six-year age difference, the low-profile couple couldn't be happier and try to make as much time possible between their shooting schedules from different corners of the world.

Ben Affleck-Jennifer Garner

Actor-director Ben Affleck, who's all set to slip into Batsuit for the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, fell in love with his wife and leading lady Jennifer Garner on the sets of another superhero flick, Daredevil.

Though they first met during the making of Pearl Harbour, they got romantically involved while making or what he considers the only redeeming aspect of the otherwise catastrophic movie.

Together since 2003 and toasted as one of Hollywood's rare stable marriages, the couple has two daughters and a son.

Ajay Devgn-Kajol

And while we're on the subject of rock solid marriages, how can we leave out Ajay Devgn and Kajol?

The talented actors, who've worked on hits like Ishq and Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha, fell in love on the sets of their first project together, a terrible action movie called Gundaraj.

Ever so romantic, Kajol fell for his tall, dark, handsome dynamism while Devgn opened up to her chirpy vivacity.

The couple tied the knot after four years of dating and are parents to two children -- Nysa and Yug.
