No sequel for Krrish yet

It looks like we will not get to watch the Krrish sequel for a while now.

It all started with Rakesh Roshan announcing the film, starring his son, Hrithik. Later, a newspaper claimed that Krrish 2 would be directed by the Rang De Basanti man Rakyesh Mehra.

But it's not to be. Our source tells us that Rakyesh will direct a film for the Krrish director, but it will not be Krrish. It's to be an entirely different film, which may not even star Hrithik.

The problem is simple. Roshan Sr hasn't found a good script that will take the story of Krrish forward.

"One year later, and after so many writeups, Rakesh Roshan is still unhappy with the scripts," says our source.

Instead, he plans to concentrate on his productions, especially debutant filmmaker Raja Sen's Krazy 4.

Meanwhile, he has given the green signal to Hrithik to start a film with Life In A... Metro director Anurag Basu early next year, after he wraps up the shooting for Ashutosh Gowarikar's Jodha Akbar.
