In a letter to Pinky Anand, who is representing his daughter Sreeja, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi has stated that he has been deeply hurt by the allegations made against him and his family. The superstar claimed that he had given his blessings to Sreeja, who eloped with her boyfriend Sirish Bhardwaj last week.

In a letter dated October 23, Chiranjeevi said, "I was deeply pained by the accusations telecast on national network even after I had publicly accepted my daughter's decision and blessed her."

He assured Anand that the apprehensions expressed about the threats by him and his family are baseless. "My fans would not hurt anybody, especially the young couple," he said.

Chiranjeevi added that her client would not be harmed and his whole family was supporting him on this issue.

"We respect Sreeja's decision," he said.

The superstar also told the young couple that he does not intend to initiate any legal action against them.

"The entire episode has caused immense pain to me and my family members," Chiranjeevi asserted. "I have nothing more to say and I leave it to your discretion whether you would like to release the letter to the media," he said.

Meanwhile, Justice S N Dhingra of the Delhi High Court has ordered two-week police protection for the couple from October 30.

"The couple is in Delhi right now and they will be returning to Hyderabad shortly. They will tell me the date of their return when they make up their mind," Pinky Anand told rediff.com.
