While we expected all-new concept at the show floor this year again, we were greeted with two familiar models - the Tata Aria and Tata Safari Storme Mountain Rescue.

Tata Aria

The Tata Aria has been on sale in India for over a couple of years.

Its European debut comes late but eying on export markets is the only way for Tata Motors to de-risk as the seven-seater is struggling in the domestic market, in spite of being well engineered.

The car is powered by a 2.2 litre diesel engine, which puts out 140 PS of power 320 Nm of torque. The ladder frame chassis is made using hydro-form technology, which saves weight.

The European version gets new headlamps and tail lamps along with an automatic gearbox.

The Tata Safari Storme Mountain Rescue is an interesting concept, which would be apt for the snow-covered nations of Europe.

The SUV gets meaty off road tires covered by metal chains so that it can grip on showy surfaces.
