"This is a small car for many markets and it will go on production later this year. It has potential in all small car market," Ford president and CEO Alan Mulally told reporters in Geneva.

Asked if the company planned to launch the product in India, he said: "At this moment, I cannot say anything, but one thing is sure that it will go around the world."

"The Ford B-MAX really challenges traditional small car thinking, and pioneers a concept not attempted by any other manufacturers," Ford (Europe) chairman and CEO Stephen Odell said in a statement.
