Volvo on Friday launched its new generation tractors and tippers, which have several improvements in the areas of safety, haulage economy, fuel consumption, and are environment friendly and Euro III compliant.
The heavy trucks are fitted with fuel-efficient engines, the new D9 and 12D, a new electronic system, chasis range cab variant, updated exterior with improved aerodynamics and a new interior, managing director of Volvo India Ulf Nordqvist told reporters in Nagpur on Friday.
Volvo D9 is a completely new engine offering 300 hp power level while D12 has been greatly upgraded to Euro-III version, resulting in better fuel consumption and reduced maintenance requirement, he said.
