Hitachi Pro-7 plasma TVs

Hitachi has launched its new range of Plasma and LCD televisions in India. The range includes the 32-inch, 37-inch and 42-inch Plasma TV models, and India is only the second Asian country, after Singapore, where these have been introduced.

The E CrystALIS Pro 7 series marks a big technological leap, since the televisions in this series are capable of reproducing 68.6 billion colours with an increased colour density of 1,024 grey levels.

PictureMaster, Hitachi's new Digital Signal Processor, is specially designed to convert the many signal images into sharp images of the highest resolutions. The A2 ALIS panel has also been improved.

With the 'Power Swivel Stand', users can rotate the screen 30 degrees to the left and right, by remote control. The 'Double Tuner Multi Picture' enables you to watch two different channels at the same time.

With more and more households owning a digital camera, PRO 7 plasmas have a Photo Input Terminal with a built-in USB Port. So you can connect your camera to the TV and the plasma doubles up as a stylish picture frame.

The products are being distributed through AV specialist Home Theatre showrooms that will offer dedicated demo rooms for customers to experience the products in a real home environment. The prices range between Rs 2.25 lakh for the 32", Rs 2.75 lakh for the 37" to Rs 3.25 lakh for the 42".

Rado's V10K

Forty years after it launched the first-ever scratchproof watch, Swiss manufacturer Rado has produced the world's hardest watch -- the V10K.

The abbreviation V10K stands for Vickers 10,000. Vickers is a scale that determines the hardness of materials by indenting them with a diamond pyramid under a specified load.

The scale goes from zero to 10,000 Vickers -- the ultimate value that only diamonds attain because only diamonds can scratch all other materials.

It is this value that Rado has taken as a yardstick, which means that only a genuine diamond can leave scratches on the upper surface of the Rado V10K.

Priced at Rs 193,000 the watch is available in one size with various coloured rubber straps. The case back and strap clasp are in skin-friendly titanium. The time can be easily adjusted on the case back by means of the magnetic contact element that is integrated into the strap.

The Musicmatch Jukebox 10.0

A new range of library, playlist and portable device controls are some of the enhancements you'll find in what is billed as the world's most powerful jukebox.

The smarter library has new built-in feedback information on tracks, times and size of selected tracks and playlists, thus delivering a continually updated view of your music.

Further optimisation allows the library to perform tasks in the background so you always have access to your music, and music links are automatically updated so the Jukebox always knows where your music is -- even when it's closed.

Deeper tagging allows you to classify your tracks with many new information fields, including personal ratings, featured artists and ten new classical music fields.
