PRANAV SANGHAVI says, Hello and goodafternoon to everyone. Welcome to the chat. Lets begin.

javedmerchant asked, kindly let me know the prospects of sugar shares at current rates
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I don't see any immediate positive trend untill the government decides to lift the ban on exports. Till then it should be a lack lustre performance for a short time to come.
Gaurav asked, Can you suggest top three sectors to invest in
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would look at Tech, Infrastructure and Banks.
Gaurav asked, Can you update us on prospects of TISCO
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, TISCO's short term and probably long term outlook depends on it's ability to successfully bid for Corus. Either ways the stock will be volatile.
Tushar from Tanzania asked, Hi Pranav, Please do suggest your top Three Picks after yesterdays downfall and at which levels to enter on them for a period of 1 year
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hi Tushar, good to see you again. I would look at the frontline stocks like Info, Wipro or TCS, IDFC, ITC, L&T, Guj Ambuja, SBI, ICICI, etc.
MEHTAMANOJ asked, what u suggest , can we invest at this level
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, If you are a long term investor, yes you could.
veeraraghavan asked, Hi Mr. Sanghavi, What factor Makes the market for this sudden fall of sensex
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hi Veeraraghavan. A lot of factors. Although there was not much of a global trend downwards, I feel the rapid rise in valuation in our markets would be the main reason. Our markets rose too much too soon being the main reason. Of course the hike in interest rates did spur the reaction with the bank stocks stocks nearly correcting over 4 to 5% in a single day. They led the downward rally.
MEHTAMANOJ asked, should i redeem or invest more at this level
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would invest at the time of such corrections. I strongly believe that the India story is very much intact but the markets need to move with the current performance of the corporates and not discount 2009 earnings or in some cases 2010.
Tushar from Tanzania asked, Dear Pranav, what levels should one enter for a period of 1 year Horizon in JaiPrakash Associates & Force Motors.
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Dear Tushar, you could enter at the current levels. Although Force Motors I don't follow.
boby asked, please tell about mercator lines & pentasoft techo & tata tele thanks
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would switch all the three. Mercator has had its run up over the last couple of years but shipping business is a cyclical one. As for Pentasoft, I'd much rather go with TCS or a Wipro. Tata Tele will reap benefits when the Tata group decides to merge it with some other group company.
bhanu asked, u have never invested into stock market....how shud i get into it without losing my hard earned money?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would recommend you first study and learn about the markets as much as you can before you enter. Do some courses offered by the training institutes of the leading exchanges. Then consult a broker and invest.
Tushar from Tanzania asked, Hi, What price level should one enter if he wants to buy Tata Tea & Sterlite industries for a period of 18 months.
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Sterlite you could enter even at current levels but you have to keep a watch on the global metal markets closely. Tata Tea could also be looked at with a 6 month to 12 month outlook.
MAYANK asked, PLEASE TELL ME THE FUTURE OF PENINSULA LAND. I AM HOLDING 110 SHARES @569/-
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would hold on. They are developing a lot of land they already hold and should reap benefits over the next few years.
menon asked, Sir, I am holding SWAN MILL shares & Rohit Ferro shares. Could you inform me about future of these shares. Thanks/ Rajan Menon
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Swan Mill is planning development of it's mill land that is why the stock has run up. Rohit Ferro I do not follow sorry.
king asked, Dear Pranav, Can you please tell me the reason for the price drop of Accel Frontline Ltd? I have some 1500+ shares purchased during IPO @ Rs. 75/- each, will it increase??? currently priced at around Rs.64???

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, MTNL has a lot of untapped assets so you could enter even at current levels. ONGC you could enter now as people do see the Oil prices only going up in the future.
KAUSHIK asked, will the bank stocks recover soon from yesterday's fall?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, They will recover eventually.
KAUSHIK asked, what about sugar stocks?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I have given my views on sugar stocks a few replies back, please refer.
Gaurav asked, Should one buy Pantaloon Retail at this moment ?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Below 2000 levels Pantaloon looks good. But on a long term basis they should do well despite the news of foreign players entering the retail market in India.
sskasat asked, hi wht do u think of the market crash
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, It was long overdue. Although I would not call it a crash but more a correction.
chavanvijayn asked, Hello Sir..what do you think about contineous decline in share price of NALCO, inspite of opinion of some experts that it will increase... Same about the Arvind Mills, its share price touches the all time low currently and contineously decreasing from last 3-4 months..
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, NALCO is a metal stock and its price movement would be in tandem with the global metal prices. You should follow LME closely. Arvind Mills on the other hand has performed much like the non-mill textile stocks. Lack lustre.

bharat asked, hi tata stell has really not performed well do u think its a good buy at around 430-450 levels
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would wait for the outcome of it's bid for Corus. A lot depends on that.

Over the last could of days figures show they have sold nearly 2,000 crores of Nifty futures which is leading to the rapid correction.
